CONTINI OROLOGI was established in Florence at the end of the Sixties in a period of industrial and economic growth. It is in this flourishing period that this small handicraft family business begins to take its first steps developing into one of the leading companies in this sector.

CONTINI OROLOGI soon becomes one of the most important craftmanships in the development and assembly of clock devices. Hands, accessories and dials are the wide range of mechanisms produced by the company.

Owing to the increasing demand of many manufacturers, Contini's clock devices are also used for the production of artistic manufactured articles in glass, china, wood, leather, alabaster and pewter.

The investment in capitals and human resources also brings the company on the market of giftwares and furnishings. It is in the mid-nineteen eighties that CONTINI OROLOGI has success by producing the first prototype of “Frame clock” for silverware: an original combination of traditional craftmanship and stylistic innovation.
